Personal note from Gerry:This was written in memory of Faith Hammel, my first unborn grandchild. As a new grandparent, I was hit particularly hard when Melissa had a miscarriage, so I jotted down this lullaby to express my grief. The baby was just about the size of a blueberry at the time of the miscarriage, hence the title. There is a melancholy, almost sad feeling to the opening section. The same melody transforms into a more hopeful outlook in the ending section. It is this hope of eternal life with Jesus that motivates me to hold fast to my faith in Him - we will be reunited someday. My prayer is that all those who come across this piece of music will be comforted from their personal losses by Jesus himself.
